The Membership Committee builds and strengthens our union by reaching out to new hires and engaging current members. It focuses on organizing, growing participation, and helping members get connected and involved.

The Reclassification Committee works to make sure members are properly classified for the work they actually do. It reviews reclassification issues, flags inequities, and helps members navigate the reclassification process.

• Meetings: As needed, based on submitted requests. Up to 2hrs per request.

• Outside work: Minimal.

The Government Relations Committee works to advance policies that support our members and protect our work. It monitors legislation, engages with elected officials, and helps organize member advocacy.

The Safety Action Committee works to protect members on the job by enforcing safety provisions in the contract. It also develops systems and strategies to improve working conditions and address safety concerns.

The Elections Committee ensures fair, transparent, and accessible union elections. It coordinates voting, counts ballots, and helps maintain the integrity of the election process.

The Benefits Committee focuses on protecting and improving members’ benefits. It reviews insurance options, evaluates plan changes, and helps ensure benefit offerings meet members’ needs.

• Meetings: Seasonal, as insurance plans need selection.

The Bargaining Committee represents members in negotiating contracts, including successor and expedited bargaining. It gathers member input, develops proposals, and works to secure strong contract outcomes.

The Labor Management Committee addresses workplace issues through regular communication with management. It raises member concerns, works to resolve problems, and helps enforce the contract outside of formal grievance processes.

• Meetings: Weekly, 1/hr.
